Nicole lives in Madison, Wisconsin (though a native New Yorker) along with her 3 dogs and cat – all rescues. She credits her husband and four young adult children for inspiring her exponential love and appreciation of animals, and has welcomed 5 grand-cats and 1 grand-dog into her extended family. While Nicole started her career as a molecular biologist, her love of writing led to her to launch a 20+ year long freelance writing and editing business. Most recently she discovered her natural fit within the nonprofit world where she serves her community and leads a team of grant writers at her local United Way.
