InstaGrant Program

null

Anderson County Care & Control in Anderson, KY received a small building to use as a detached meet & greet area for potential adopters.

What is an InstaGrant?

An InstaGrant is an in-kind gift to a visited shelter to meet a need that materially improves the shelter conditions. InstaGrants are proposed or requested, reviewed and acted upon expeditiously. InstaGrant items are typically essential items not in the shelter’s budget, equipment that makes room for more animals, and above all, improves the level of care and comfort provided to shelter residents. Essential needs have included disinfectant machinery, kennels for expansion, shelter-grade raised dogs beds, and cooling equipment for hot southern summers where dogs are kenneled outside.

Currently, InstaGrants range from about $250 to $2500.

InstaGrant Funding

WWLDO’s pilot InstaGrant program was initially funded by the ASPCA in 2022. The ASPCA has generously funded it repeatedly along with a single donor who matched the ASPCA’s second grant. We’d love to grow our program – if we have more to give we will give it, and your donation to the InstaGrant Fund makes that possible.

If you would like to make a difference to struggling shelters, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and WILL make a difference.
